I support Bernie Sanders, and I’m not stupid or unrealistic

Cody Gough (dot com)

Today I read for maybe the 10,000th time an assertion that supporters of Bernie Sanders are unrealistic, that Bernie Sanders supporters will all be disappointed if they elect him because he won’t be able tobring the change he’s promising, that Bernie Sanders’ policies will be “just another example of Democrats making promises they can’t keep,” and so on and so forth. And I’d like to briefly dispel a misconception about people who support Bernie Sanders as the next president of the United States:

We’re not stupid.

  1. I like Cruz or Sanders better than the two the press seem dead set to shove down the voter’s throats since they’re already their winners even though the primaries haven’t happened. I don’t want more scandals (Watergate to Bengazi-gate to Email-gate to hostage-deserter-gate to what’s next?). And I don’t want our country to build a wall around America at taxpayer expense, or a buffoon whose next phone call to Russia or North Korea or Iran or Afghanistan is going to get us nuked, with hearty worldwide approval.

I want America to pay off the national debt, secure our borders with rationale and not panic, and deal with criminals and not cite crime statistics as a way to rationalize depriving citizens of their constitutional rights. I dislike intensely the attitude of the press, and the biased coverage of the press, in favor of their favorite candidates. News moguls and comedians want either or both the “front runners,” but I have a difficult time believing the average American does.
